Finally today I start with an idea I have for years.
To publish the photos of the beautiful cemeteries I visit allover the world.
So far I never really knew how to present them – within my “normal” travel blog roll.
Because I think most people are puzzled and not interested in cemeteries as places of beauty and piece – and of interesting up-to-date history.
There are about 20 places I visited that are worthwile being presented here, which pop up in my mind right now. Not counting Vitus Bering and Ernest Shackleton, but Isla Mujeres, Cachí, Habana.
And Rio de Janeiro, last week, which now finally brings me to start this project.
Most important of course my hometown cemetery in Hamburg, Ohlsdorf.
More later, now I am travelling again, looking for more silent beauty along the way…
